RFID Based School Bus Tracking System using IOT

Now-a-Days school children face lots and lots of issues in practical transportation schemes like school bus problems and location mismatching and so on. Even though parents are also not aware of the children, whether they are properly and safely entered into school or having any issues in it. A new mechanism is required to solve these issues, so that a SmartCard based Bus Navigation maintenance scheme is introduced along with Internet of Things (IOT) basis. With the help of this IOT scheme parents can monitor their children from anywhere in the world. The locations of the bus are trapped by using Navigation sensor and provide that information into the system along with the student identity. Once the student entered into the bus the smartcard has to be scanned and while exiting on the bus again the same will be getting scanned, through this procedures the students entry and exit schemes are maintained in the proper server with the help of cloud scenario via IOT. This system is proposed to avoid kidnapping and to make the smart school bus transportation. The system is automatic and user friendly. The vehicle on board sensors are interfaced to Arduino embedded kit and Ethernet shield. The application server is developed by C# as front end and Cloud based Sql Server as a back end. In future, by incorporating radar on the vehicle, this IoT based tracking system can support parking assistance and blind spot detection to help drivers avoid accidents. This IoT enabled vehicle can help drivers and passengers enrich their lives.
